Questions, answered.
Do I need a paid Ghost site?
No. Ghost Studio works with self-hosted Ghost (any version) and Ghost Pro. The deploy is a standard Ghost theme ZIP — upload via your Ghost admin.
Can I edit the theme after deploy?
Yes. It's a standard Ghost theme ZIP with normal HTML/CSS/templates. Edit it like any other Ghost theme. The Casper, Source, or Edge defaults are not required.
What if I don't like the results?
Iterate via chat. Studio can regenerate individual components (palette, hero, post template, etc.) until you're happy. There's no per-generation charge during beta.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your briefs and generated themes are stored encrypted at rest. We never use your content to train any model, and we never share it with third parties.
When does the beta end?
Q4 2026. Beta users get lifetime discount on the GA plan — at least 30% off, locked in forever.
What about theme updates?
Once you deploy, the theme is yours. Studio doesn't push updates to your deployed theme. If you want a refresh, run Studio again and redeploy.
Does Studio work for non-Ghost CMS sites?
Not yet. Ghost Studio is Ghost-specific. We may add support for other CMSs (WordPress, Hugo, Eleventy) in the future, but the beta is Ghost only.
